Honest Open Government)
What is going on with our esteemed Premier. She gave approval for those coal seam gas explorations to go ahead. You know, where the foreign investors use someone else’s money to drill holes all over our prime agricultural land and pour poisons in to them to release the gas.
Now she has made an election promise to stop the use of some of those poisons. Yeah Kristina, and pigs might fly too.
On the other hand the liberal leader is silent on the matter. Is that because the so-called developers of the gas extraction businesses are paying big dollars into the Liberal Party coffers? Come on Barry, you are paid by the people to do a specific job. Look after the people. Labour has mismanaged this fine State of NSW for years, it would be a calamity if the Liberals continued to do the same thing.
Coal seam gas is NOT the answer to any maidens prayer and certainly not the answer to reducing pollution of any sort. For instance: This company wants to harvest coal seam gas from around the Narrabri area and then pipe the gas 200 kilometres to Wellington where they want to build a power generator station fired by gas. Why Wellington? Why not Narrabri? It seems like a scheme by foreign investors to rip Australia off and when there is a huge outcry about land degradation and pollution of water sources, the foreign investors will simply go bankrupt and scoot with the millions of dollars they have made from us. We will then have to find a way to reinstate the degraded land, and find unpolluted water sources to replace what they have destroyed.
Again I say spend some real money and effort on research and development of solar energy. The current technology can be improved and a method of storing power in Batteries or whatever can be found to make solar a viable option to coal or gas fired power generation.
What say you Barry? Are you for the people? Or are just another mouthpiece for the Party?
