Trading Schemes- Carbon or otherwise
December 20th 2009 10:12
The much promoted Summit Meeting at Copenhagen has really turned out a flop. No one can agree on what is to be done to prevent the worlds average temperatures from rising.
In truth no one can predict whether the temperatures will rise or fall with any degree of certainty at all. We, and our scientists, are just kidding ourselves to think that our puny computer models are accurate. In every computer model there is an assumption by the scientific community. To say there is certainty is saying our current weather forecasters are children and are lying to the general population, every day. Our scientists knowledge of our weather and our Global warming is just not that good.
Just supposing the scientists have made an error in their assumptions. What happens?
Does our world heat up and go --BOOOM! If so what does it matter what we do? Or, does our planet cool off again? If it cools again what do we want Carbon Trading Schemes for?
Then there is another side to the discussion:-
We, ourselves have a carbon content, our food growing needs carbon to grow, our plants and trees all need carbon. Supposing we take all the carbon from our atmosphere; what the hell do we live on?
Just some food for thought for the millions who will lose so much with any so-called Trading Schemes.
