NSW Electricity

The current NSW Labour Govt is rushing to sell off the electricity generated by the power stations owned by the people of NSW. Yes, that’s right Madame Premier, OWNED BY THE PEOPLE OF NSW.
Why the rush ? Also why are so many Labour members not contesting the March election? Is it a case of the rats leaving the sinking ship? Or is it much more sinister than that?
I am very suspicious that corruption is rife in NSW Govt circles and the sell off of the money making side of the electricity generation industry is being done in return for certain favours already paid to certain people.
Of course I have no proof of corruption but I doubt if there is any agency in NSW capable of an independent investigation into the matter anyway. I think that the processes that define democracy from more dictatorial forms of Government have long since been eroded or perverted for political purposes which have little to do with Governance of the State for the benefit of its people.
Perhaps there is someone, who is more than just a placid observer,who can initiate some sort of action to stop, delay, or avoid, the sale of the people’s assets to private enterprise.
If Labour sells off the power, we are certainly going to pay much higher prices for this basic utility we all use daily.
This is my opinion and, sadly, I believe our State Government is more interested in filling the bank accounts of members of Parliament than in working for the people in the State.
