Honest Open Government
Until Take-away-Tony welshed on his personally signed agreement regarding the reforms of Parliament, we had a chance of actually having a Government FOR the people of this Country of ours. OURS, Mr Abbot, not yours, not the Party’s Govt, but the people’s Government.
WE own it, we pay the salaries, and we have earned the right to demand that every one of our elected representatives has a voice in the House itself. We also have the right to demand that the legislation pertaining to every little inconsequential matter be open to Public scrutiny, the costs, the estimated effects and the objective of that piece of legislation.
It seems that we have had two warring factions controlling us. One supported by big business and the other by the workers representatives, the Unions. Each has its own agenda and the people are left holding the scraps that are left over.
We almost had a peoples Government Mr Abbot, that is until you did the most UN-AUSTRALIAN thing and welshed on an agreement. Your excuses are pathetic and definitely unworthy of being made public. Although it does show how little you care for the people who pay your salary.
A question Mr Abbot:- have you, and your back room faceless power pushers, sold your souls to big business? If not, why are you, and those hiding in the back room, so dedicated to the destruction of our duly elected Parliament?
A question now for the Nationals; the poor relations in the coalition:- Haven’t you lot had enough of being told what questions to ask at question time?, how to vote on legislature when divisions are called?, How to do anything in Parliament? Maybe it is time you used the minds and intelligence you are gifted with and voted according to your own conscience, regardless of what the ‘faceless ones’ say.
