Exploration - Coal Seam gas

Coal Seam Gas
What is the NSW Government thinking of? Approving exploration for coal seam gas may well spell the pollution of our waterways and the destruction of some of our prime agricultural land. The USA is exploring like mad with few concerns for their environment at all. I expect that from them, their objective is to make money by whatever means possible. Their rivers and waterways already suffer from unacceptable pollution and we in Australia don’t want that here.
Stop any further exploration for coal seam gas until a safe method can be developed.. the present way of pumping highly toxic chemicals (Currently un-named) into our soil just on the premise that a profit can be made from the resulting gas is courting disaster for our country.
How much pollution will occur, no one knows as there has been no research at all. No one knows how long it would take Mother Nature to purify the waterways and agricultural land once it has been poisoned by toxic chemicals.
I wonder how much influence the USA has in the running of our Governments, both State and Federal, far too much, I would think. This land is our land, and should be cared for the best way possible. Poisoning it with chemicals simply to make a dollar for some American owned company is sheer stupidity. No one can make more agricultural land - - - once it is gone, it is gone forever.
Queensland has found serious problems with coal seam gas exploration and has banned it, why then is NSW still permitting this POISONING of our landscape?
We are not so seriously short of electricity or whatever, that we have to kill the land that feeds us. No way. I think it is just the Americans trying to make a dollar anyway they can to prop up their flagging economic power.
This is my opinion and is not motivated by anything other than a wish to keep our Country CLEAN and GREEN.
